about
I wrote this song when my second son was a baby asleep in my arms. I had sung a peppier Peekaboo game song to my older son and the children I worked with for years, but I was never happy with is as a partial song - it needed a fuller story, it needed to be a lullaby.
For this lullaby version, I wanted to mix together the competing duality of my joy of being with/there for my 'babies' alongside my constant awareness of the fleetingness of time...Simple lyrics for deep love.
lyrics
I see you,
Bright and true,
You're so brand new,
To the world.
You won't be blue,
When I see you,
Play Peekaboo,
Together.
Peekaboo.
Peekaboo.
Peekaboo,
Oh, I see you.
Peekaboo.
Peekaboo.
Peekaboo,
Oh, I see you.
All you need,
Is to be you.
Your dreams they will
Come True.
Forever you'll,
Be my baby Boo.
My love you'll always be.
Peekaboo.
Peekaboo.
Peekaboo,
Oh, I see you.
Peekaboo.
Peekaboo.
Peekaboo,
Oh, I see you.
I love you, forever.
Play Peekaboo, whenever.
My baby Boo, forever.
My love you'll always be.
Peekaboo.
Peekaboo.
Peekaboo,
Oh, I see you.
Peekaboo.
Peekaboo.
Peekaboo,
Oh, I see you.
