about

I wrote this track as a kiddie homage to the sound of New Orleans, Mardi Gras marching bands. The groove repeats and builds with the use of the repeating octaves (a subconscious nod to the sung drumming opening of Paul Simon's 'Obvious Child') while the tempo increases. Listeners are encouraged to join along with the moves and add as many vocal flourishes as humanly possible.

lyrics

Clap high, clap low.
Clap high, clap low.

March fast, march slow.
March fast, march slow.

And then we stop and look around.
We reach for the sky and touch the ground,
We reach for the sky and touch the ground.
